About

Less time on arithmetic. More time on learners.

School in Stats is a focused marks app for teachers. It is not another all-in-one school management system.

Why it exists

After every exam, teachers do the same routine. They collect marks and enter them. Then they add up totals, work out averages and assign performance levels. They rank positions, prepare mark sheets and learner reports, and check everything again in case a number slipped.

Very little of that is teaching. It's arithmetic and copying, and it takes up evenings and weekends that should belong to teachers. It's also where mistakes creep in.

School in Stats takes over the repetitive part. Teachers enter each mark once. The app calculates totals, means, positions and CBC performance levels, shows how the class is doing, and produces the mark sheets and reports teachers need.

Who it's for

Class teachers and subject teachers first, followed by the heads of department, academic coordinators and administrators who work with the same results.

Built around real workflows, starting from Kenya

School in Stats is being built with Kenyan teachers and schools in mind. It supports CBC performance levels, printable reports, English and Kiswahili, and phones that aren't always online. The problem it solves isn't unique to Kenya. Wherever teachers process marks by hand, the same hours go into the same repetitive work.

Where we are now

The app is in closed testing with teachers. We're using their honest feedback to get the calculations, screens and reports right before a wider release.

Where we're heading

We want School in Stats to be a marks tool that teachers trust and choose to use: fast, accurate, easy to understand, and reliable wherever they work.
